Happy New Year’s?

More like time of old feuds… people should be coming together this time of year, not argue or break ties with friends.

Well, what can you do?

Anyway, I wish you all a Happy New Year, and let’s hope things will take a turn for the better with the beginning of the second decade of the millennium 🙂

P.s. If you want to meditate on something, search for “This decade in pictures” on Google 😉

Merry Christmas!!

And a song to go with the good wishes 😉

What really happens after you apply for a job and don’t get it

Have you ever noticed that when a company gives you a negative answer to an interview for some reason or another they always follow up with “we will keep your resume in our data base and we will contact you in the future if we have any new positions available”?

Point is that… they never do afterwards. Ever.

Logically, the human resource is infinite, so they have where to choose from. However, i think it would be more ethical for a company to at least say: “Please apply again in the future, chances are we are not even going to look at your resume, but what the hell? Maybe you’ll get lucky some day… if you keep applying and we forget about you until then – or if the management changes. Though your chances are like 1 to 100.000”.

I would prefer this kind of straight, honest answer than one that promises something which will likely never happen.

What about you?
